Our community plays a vital part in helping us slow the spread of COVID-19. ReadyHarris is designed to promote a culture of preparedness across our region that will be more inclusive of the role individual families, nonprofit groups, and the private sector play before, during, and after an emergency. Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo issued a Declaration of Local Disaster for Public Health Emergency to allow Harris County to take measures to reduce the possibility of exposure to COVID-19 and promote the health and safety of Harris County residents in accordance with Section 418.108 of the Texas Government Code.
