The Montrose Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ 27) invites you to a presentation on the Mandell Street Improvement Project at the beginning of the March TIRZ 27 Board Meeting.

About the Project
The Mandell Street Improvements project aims to enhance safety and walkability for pedestrians, improve the asphalt roadway surface, and enhance lighting. Tree protection remains a major priority as well. The project limits are from US-59 to Westheimer Road.
Project Features
- Improve safety and walkability through sidewalk replacement with new 5-ft sidewalks and ADA-compliant wheel chair ramps.
- Milling and overlay of existing deteriorated asphalt pavement.
- Restriping of roadway.
- Replace signage as needed.
- Improve lighting on the roadway by upgrading streetlights.
- Individualized protection plan for trees along the project route
Design and Public Engagement
- Design will begin in the first quarter of 2026.
- Public comments may be offered at each board meeting or emailed to info@montrosehtx.org.
- Other communications will occur regarding the project.
- Construction may begin as early as Spring 2026.
