Join the Presentation: Safe Routes to School Project Presentation

You are invited to a 30-minute presentation on the 60% design update for the Safe Routes to School project. The presentation is planned for the beginning of the Montrose TIRZ Board Meeting:

Monday, September 15 from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. at

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church,

1827 W Alabama St, Havens Center.

Comments may be made at the meeting and are limited to three minutes. Comments cards will also be available at the meeting and will be collected at the meeting or comments can be sent afterward to our email: info@Montrosehtx.org. Comments are due September 29. The presentation will be posted online at the Project’s webpage: https://montrosehtx.org/projects/srts/ following the presentation. Updates will be posted there as well.

  • Sidewalk replacement and widening, driveway replacement, wheelchair ramp replacement
  • Intersection asphalt mill and overlay of 5 intersections to eliminate ADA barriers.
  • Mid-block crossing by Wharton Dual Language Academy on Columbus St
  • High-visibility pavement markings
  • Pedestrian crossing signage at W Clay St / Crocker St
  • HAWK signals at Stanford St / W Gray St and Stanford St / W Dallas St
  • Proposed landscape modifications at Stanford St / Bomar St to improve visibility of pedestrians at high historical crash rate intersection.
